Breakfast Briefing with Professor David Bailey at 7.30am on Tuesday 24th March

David Bailey is Professor of Business Economics at Birmingham’s Business School and has written widely on industrial and regional policy, especially in relation to manufacturing and the auto industry. He is also a Senior Fellow at the UK in a Changing Europe programme.

As a sought after commentator on business and the economy, Professor Bailey is frequently interviewed by local, national and international media. He has also acted as Specialist Advisor including to a House of Commons Select Committee and as an external expert for the European Commission, World Bank and OECD. He often gives evidence to public inquiries and consultations.

His particular research interest is in the automotive industry including the take up of electric vehicles and the transformation of the industry. His latest co-edited book ‘Carmageddon? Brexit and Beyond for UK Auto’ has just been published by Bite-Size books.
